Data Collection

The SaneScan app does not collect scan contents, OCR text, photos, documents, advertising identifiers, accounts, device identifiers, or session identifiers. The app may send limited aggregate purchase-flow diagnostics, such as paywall shown, product loaded, purchase cancelled, purchase failed, purchase completed, and restore completed. If you email SaneApps for support, SaneApps receives only the email address and message you choose to send.

Local Scans

SaneScan stores scans, images, OCR text, and exported files locally on your device unless you choose to share or export them through iOS.

Camera And Photos

• Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a document.
• Photo library access is used only when you choose images to import.
• Exports are shared only when you open the system share sheet yourself.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. SaneScan uses Apple's transaction state to unlock Pro features and records aggregate purchase-flow outcomes so the App Store funnel can be diagnosed without collecting scan contents or account identifiers.
